We are happy to announce that Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Health & Fitness Center is now offering one-on-one personal training and Pilates reformer training for our members.
The principle of Pilates is to develop the body and mind uniformly by combining muscle stabilization and concentration with slow, controlled movements. The method is centered on the concepts of balance, breath, centered concentration, control, movement flow and precision. By strengthening the deep structures of the body using light resistance, and then progressing to more complex movements, you can begin to identify muscle imbalances and learn to correct these movements. Whether you are an athlete, an older adult looking to maintain mobility or recovering from an injury, Pilates is beneficial to you!
One-on-one personal training and Pilates Reformer training will be available at the standard rates for these services. For more information about training and/or to schedule your next session, please email Gemma Benson at [email protected] or call the center at 847.535.7060. Training at this time is for members only. Training sessions will be charged to your account. Please arrive in the main lobby 10 minutes prior to your session and maintain physical distance of at least 10 feet while you are waiting. Your trainer will greet you there.
