Club Renovations
 

July 24 to August 20, 2017

Beginning Monday, July 24, the much anticipated renovation to the shower facilities will take place; it is scheduled to be completed by Sunday, August 20. Please know the fitness center will remain open.

However, the lap pool, warm therapy pool, showers, steam rooms, whirlpools and saunas will be closed during this time. The annual pool maintenance will also be completed, and we will be resurfacing the parking lot—so parking may be limited, including handicapped spots. The closure of the parking lot will only affect half of the parking lot at a time.

We are also replacing one of the main air conditioning units, which is scheduled to be delivered and installed during this timeframe.

To accommodate our members during the renovations, the following will be available:

  • Pre-moistened washcloths (available at the Fitness Desk and FitKids Club™ desk)
  • Locker room area, including lockers, sinks and toilets
  • Massage services at The Spa

Thank you for your patience as we improve the facilities for our members. As always, you are welcome to use the Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Center's facilities during this time.

Pool Maintenance
 

August 7 to August 20, 2017

Lake Forest Health & Fitness Center’s pool will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, August 7 through Sunday, August 20 and reopen on Monday, August 21.

Thank you for your patience as we improve the aquatics facilities for our members. You are welcome to use the Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Center’s facilities during this time for no additional cost.

Guest Policy Update
 

Members are responsible for their guests. All guests are required to pay a guest fee for each visit, register at the Member Services desk, complete and sign a Guest Registration Form and submit a current form of photo identification.

Guests may use Lake Forest Health & Fitness Center a maximum of six times in a 12-month period. After six visits as a guest, they must become a member in order to continue using the club.
 

House Charging Privileges
 

Please remember that you are required to sign your receipts at the Forest Café, Membership Services or FitKids Club™ when charging to your house account. Thank you for your compliance.
 

Medical Hold
 

Members may request that their membership be placed on medical hold with the following restrictions:

  • A written note from your physician stating the reason for the medical hold request is required to begin the medical hold.
  • To release the hold before the six-month mark or time given on the doctor's note, a written note from your physician stating you are approved to return to the club is required.
  • Medical holds begin on the first of each month and conclude on the last day of each month. You may not begin or end your hold mid-month.
  • Effective June 1, 2012, retroactive account adjustments are not permitted.
  • If one person on a couple's membership is placed on a medical hold, the remaining member pays the regular individual dues rate.
  • Use of the club is prohibited during an approved medical hold period.
     

Cell Phone Usage
 

We have received numerous complaints from members about other members using their cell phones on the fitness floor and in the locker room.

Cell phones may be used in the café, library and lobby areas only. If you are observed using your cell phone outside of these areas, a staff member will politely remind you of our policy.
